A recent speech by Cardinal Gerhard Muller as edited for publication by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn.
I cannot agree with Cardinal Schoenborn. Amoris Laetitiae cannot be interpreted contrary to the consistent teaching of the Magisterium. Local conferences of bishops should not seek to give guidance contrary to the express words of the Lord and the apostolic deposit of faith. The principle of subsidiarity does not allow bishops to act contrary to the practice of the Universal Church. There must NOT be the same discipline in Germany as in Korea.
