twtctwAndrew Brown (‘journalist’) and Linda Woodhead (“academic”) have produced a book about the dear old CofE so scandalous in its revelations that Bloomsbury have recalled even the review copies as a result of legal action.

What revelations about Anglican clergy could be worse than the things we already know? Were the Ball brothers the centre of a paedophile ring involving Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh? Has the Bishop of Chichester found it necessary to denounce yet another of this sainted predecessors? Is George Carey a secret transvestite?

It will be a long time – if ever – before we discover the truth from Sir Bernard Hogan Howe.

In the meantime surviving copies of the book are commanding fabulous prices and Bloomsbury are expecting record pre-orders for the expurgated version when at length it appears
